Dear Friends,

I got my first Covid vaccine and it didn’t hurt a bit! My thanks to Danielle at Riverside Water Reed Hospital and the Virginia Department of Health. I encourage everyone to have the vaccine when it is available. Let’s put Covid in the rear view mirror.

I have returned to my Radford home just in time for the first significant snowfall of 2021. The cold crisp air and ensuing quiet have provided me an opportunity to work on paintings to be printed for shows later this year. I will be here for the next 2 weeks. The upcoming show, February 13th and 14th, with the Moss Gallery of Blacksburg will be an in-person event with a companion online album of artwork. I’d like to take a moment and introduce you to our Blacksburg staff.

Pictured L to R, Sue Taylor and our new gallery manager Wendy Nestor. Together with my daughter Mary, they present such a warm comfortable atmosphere in the gallery. Wendy brings with her an impressive resume’ of fine arts sales and can help you discover your inner art passion.

In a previous newsletter I promised to share one of my new paintings. Lady in Waiting, has become my favorite and was inspired by the many cardinal pairs that visited my window in Mathews. The print is now available for purchase through your local Moss dealer and online at $55, IS: 3-7/8 x 10 ins.

I look forward to seeing my friends and collectors Valentine’s weekend in Blacksburg. Please note that Covid prevention protocols remain in place. All of our guests will need to wear a mask and keep 6 feet apart while inside the gallery. I will be signing artwork from 11 am until 4 pm on Saturday, and from noon until 3 pm on Sunday. It will be so good to see you!

“The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong.”
-Laura Ingalls Wilder
