Dear Friends,

Isn’t it lovely? This is my new print, Winter’s Reverie, Mabry Mill, beautifully framed by my son-in-law Corrado for release at the Moss Gallery of Blacksburg’s show this weekend.

It’s almost show time! I will be greeting collectors and friends this Saturday, February 8th, and Sunday, the 9th, in Blacksburg, Virginia. This is my first show for 2020, in what promises to be a busy and fun-filled year. My show hours are 11 am until 5 pm on Saturday, and noon until 3 pm on Sunday. I finally got a picture of the gift basket that the gallery prepared for one lucky visitor to take home. It is filled with the sorts of things to make your Valentine’s Day special, including a Moss print.

I am sorry that I won’t be able to keep this one.

Usually about this time of year I am silently wishing for a flower or something that heralds gardening season. To my delight, the Angel’s Trumpet tree in my living room unknowingly obliged me and is putting on quite a show. Take a look!

My son John and his wife Maureen gave me this beautiful Angel’s Trumpet.
The timely blooming of this tree is a real spirit lifter.

Here’s a close-up of the flower.

This next bit of news is “hot off the press.” On Wednesday the Moss Foundation finalized the agreement with the caterer and I have the information on this year’s Foundation fundraising dinner to share with you. The dinner is being held on July 11th at the Memorial Patio located at my Barn. I am thoroughly pleased with the menu and I think you’ll love it too. Waynesboro’s own Fishin’ Pig will be cooking fried chicken and fish on site as part of a down home country picnic dinner. A fresh garden salad and a mashed potato bar will accompany the mains. I’ll be looking for the home made fresh yeast rolls. There will be wine and beer, coffee and tea, and plenty of desserts to choose from. Tickets are $45 each and may be purchased online at Eventbrite. Here is the link.

***For my gluten-free and vegan friends, arrangements are in place to provide an outstanding main menu alternative. Please call the Foundation office directly to make your request @ 800-430-1320.***

Proceeds from the dinner will be used by the Foundation to provide educational opportunities to those who learn differently.

Until next week,

Love,
