Dear Friends,
This Sunday, February 26th I will be making a virtual appearance with my friends at Iowa PBS. I cannot say how many years we have worked together to provide funding for public television. Established in 1969, Iowa’s educational stations continually provide informational and entertaining programs and I am proud to have lent support. My print for 2023 celebrates a famous Iowan, Meredith Willson. Born in 1902 in Mason City, Iowa, Meredith Willson began his musical journey as a flutist. Over the years he emerged as a skilled and artful songwriter; perhaps best known for writing the book, music and songs for The Music Man. Other songs that he wrote include It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas and the humorous Chicken Fat song. He is Iowa’s Music Man and my new print, Strike Up the Band is a tribute to his legacy.
Strike Up the Band is available through Iowa PBS for a donation. Image size is: 9” x 11-1/8.” You may contact the station by following this link https://www.iowapbs.org/support/membership/gifts or by calling 800-728-2828.
The 2023 Moss Foundation mail return labels will be sent out this spring. I always look forward to receiving them. In the meantime, if you are running short, you may order labels by calling the Foundation office at 800-430-1320, or emailing foundation@mossfoundation.org. Here are the images of what is currently available.
To order your labels, choose 1 or 2 images and contact Mary at the Foundation office. She will print and mail them to you at no cost. The phone number is 800-430-1320. All I ask is that you consider making a donation to my foundation. Your gift will support the 2023 scholarship and grant programs.
Until next week,
Love,
