Dear Friends,

My neighbor’s tulip tree by my Mathews, VA home makes its annual proclamation that spring is almost here.
I am sitting at my drawing table today and marveling at how quickly my outdoor surroundings are coming to life. To add to that, the return of daylight savings time is making me feel energized again.
I love the arrival of spring and I will be celebrating it on Saturday, April 2nd with friends and collectors at a gallery open house with King James Galleries in Winchester, VA. Winchester is in the heart of apple country and it is those beautiful blossoms that I wanted to capture in my new print, Blossoms of the Valley. Also of note, this year marks the 95th anniversary of the 10 day Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival held annually in Winchester. The dates are April 22nd through May 1st.
Join me in the wearing of the green this Thursday for St. Patrick’s Day and let’s celebrate the best of Irish culture, which is their charm, warmth, and a wit that shines through adversity. To start you on your celebration, here is a gentle Irish blessing to share. "May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future." Unknown author.
Until next week,
Love,
