Dear Friends,

“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.”
― Tom Bodett

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. It’s just the best time for me when I can spend time with my family. We ate together, laughed together and decorated Easter eggs. I don’t think any of us has outgrown the pleasure of coloring eggs.

A collection of our finished eggs. We had fun with the presentation too.

Even my styrofoam palette became an unlikely object of art.

Easter dinner was extra special since I got my wish to eat at Moonshadows Restaurant in Luray, Virginia and to share it with 4 of my children. From L to R: Patty, John, Mary and Becky.

This Saturday, April 7th, I will be at King James Galleries of Winchester, VA. I’d like to welcome everyone to this special event. Together we will release my new print, Spring at Bel Air, Front Royal. I will be there from 10 am to 3 pm to meet collectors and sign prints. The town of Winchester is charming and there is much to discover there.

Spring at Bel Air, Front Royal

April 13th and 14th I will be at Windswept Frame and Art in McMurray, Pennsylvania to reunite with friend, and gallery owner, Jim Uhrig. We haven’t done a show together for quite some time and with good reason. Jim is an organ donor recipient and has spent a considerable amount of time getting well and is now helping others on a similar journey. The print that we will be releasing at his gallery, A Gift of Life, carries a special meaning. It is in celebration of all the people who make a life giving transplant operation successful. Jim will be donating some of the proceeds from the sale of the print to go towards nurse’s education at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

A Gift of Life

Jim’s book, Partners 4 Life, details his transplant journey and gives valuable insight to those on a similar path. Jim’s slogan: Keep the Faith.

Until next week,

Love,
