Dear Friends,

Dear friend and fellow traveler Pat Tobin has taken to sharing a picture daily of the Holland America elevator mat. Such light-hearted commentaries during our stay at home situation puts a smile on my face and helps make the isolation more bearable.

How’s everyone holding up this week? I’d like to thank everyone who attended the Annual Spring Barn Show and Gallery Open House that was held online last weekend. I took such comfort (and hope you did too) in all of the conversations that we had on Messenger. My daughter Ginny at the P Buckley Moss Gallery of Waynesboro did a fantastic job of putting this show together.

I continue to work in my studio and I have 3 new pieces to show you. The first one is titled Pilot Mountain. It is slated for release at the P Buckley Moss Gallery of Blacksburg’s show, now scheduled for May 30th and 31st. Pilot Mountain is located in North Carolina just south of the city of Mount Airy, well known as the boyhood home of actor Andy Griffith. Defined by its quartzite pinnacle, this mountain served as a navigational aid for Native Americans and the early settlers.

My new print, Pilot Mountain, will be available in 2 sizes. IS: 7-1/2 x 11-1/2 ins., $80; IS: 10 x 15-7/16 ins., $130; Edition size 500 and 25 AP’s

For my friends at 3rd Avenue Art Gallery, I painted the Memorial Arch, located in Huntington, West Virginia. Designed after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, this magnificent structure commemorates the soldiers of Cabell County who served in World War I.

Veterans Memorial Arch will also be available in 2 sizes. IS: 7-5/16 x 11-1/4 ins., $75; IS: 11 x 17 ins., $160; Edition 250 and 25 AP’s

**Please note that the date has been changed for my show with   3rd Ave Art Gallery in Huntington, West Virginia. The new date is Saturday, July 18th. I will continue to keep you updated in this newsletter and on Facebook as my 2020 show schedule evolves.

The 3rd painting that I have finished features my son John’s restaurant Moonshadows, located in Luray, Virginia. Like most small businesses, John has had to close during our shelter at home period. John, and his wife Maureen have continued to work hard, and their efforts have been rewarded by receiving a Payroll Protection Plan grant/loan. I am so relieved that his dream will continue, and as a proud momma want to share his new take out menus.

Doesn’t it look fantastic? The takeout menu will be available on Fridays and Saturdays
from 3pm until 7 pm. Visit to view the menus, and place your order. I wish I lived closer.

Until next week,
