Dear Friends,

It is the merry month of May! I am on the Ms Oosterdam off the coast of California with my quilting friends for the final Quilt Camp at Sea. This cruise originated in Florida, and sailed through the Panama Canal. I got onboard in San Diego and have joined them for the last leg. We will arrive in Seattle on May 5th after visiting Victoria and Vancouver, B.C. Featured on this cruise were classes with Carol Porter, Jean McDonald, Donna Denmand, and Pat Krasnozon. I can’t wait to see their completed projects. I am grateful to have met these wonderful women and that we all have become good friends.

Imagine being on a cruise ship with friends and creating art with material. It just doesn’t get any better!

I would like to thank everyone who came to the Annual Spring Barn Show and Gallery Open House in Waynesboro, VA last weekend. What a splendid time we had. Special thanks to all the Moss Society members who came and helped out. I hope that while you were there, you got to enjoy my gardens. My daughter Ginny had them beautifully tended and adorned with seasonal florals. What a wonderful welcome home! I have pictures to share with you from the weekend, but first I’d like to encourage those of you that were unable to come, to consider visiting during the July Barn Show. I will be hosting the Annual Fundraising Dinner for the Moss Foundation on my patio, and it is looking to be an event not to miss! Here is a link to the information page for the event. It is so important that we continue our work to provide educational opportunities for our young people. In my next newsletter, I will be announcing the winner of the 2019 PBM Endowed Scholarship.

Dear friend Linda Markham (R) brought her cousin Brenda Davis to the show. What a pleasure to meet her.

Once again I find myself saying it’s a small world. Douglas MacTavish stopped by the Barn. He lived on Amboy Road on Staten Island, just 2 doors down from where I grew up.

My next show will be an afternoon and evening in Glen Allen, Virginia. On Wednesday, May 8th I will be at the Cultural Art Center, Glen Allen from 2 pm until 8 pm. This special signing event is part of the month long exhibit that will be showcasing my work. Additionally, we will be releasing a new print titled, Historic Glen Allen. If you need information you may call the center at 804-261-2787 (ARTS) or visit their website
