Dear Friends,

Life brings tears, smiles, and memories. The tears dry, the smiles fade, but the memories last forever.”

Malik Faisal

It has been a week of milestones. Two of my granddaughters are graduating from Virginia Tech. Sarah Donnelly is receiving her doctorate in Molecular and Cellular Nutrition, and Sofi Ghezzi will receive her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. My granddaughter Diana Moss is graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology, with minors in Criminal Justice and Environmental Studies from High Point University. This has been an arduous journey and these young ladies have worked so hard. I couldn’t be more proud of each of them. Our big gathering for family and friends to celebrate their accomplishments had to be scuttled in lieu of social distancing considerations.

My daughter Becky baked and decorated the “Everything” cake
in celebration of our graduates, Sofi’s birthday and Mother’s Day. It was divine!

Beautiful Diana from her virtual graduation ceremony presented online
. Diana will be returning to High Point University in the fall to work on her Master’s degree.

Happy Mother’s Day to me from my grandchildren! They know that I love live plants, and the Calla lily is one of my favorites!

Wow, I am at a loss to adequately express my gratitude to my daughter Mary for making this exquisite quilt for me. All I can say is I love you too.

This week I learned of the passing of my dear friend Peter Vatsures. Peter was a founding partner of Gallery Art Center in Columbus, Ohio 42 years ago. I always looked forward to his smiling countenance when I would visit the gallery. He would greet me at the airport and throughout my visit, would make sure that I had what I needed.  Such a gentleman… I will miss him.

My next show is coming up on May 30th and 31st with the P Buckley Moss Gallery of Blacksburg. This show will be hosted virtually. Although the gallery doors will be open, I will be at home periodically visiting with you online via Facebook Live. I will be talking about my life as an artist and answering questions submitted by you. You’ll find this live video on the gallery Facebook page beginning on May 30th. Here’s the link. Do you have a question for me? Please send your questions to or through Messenger on the Facebook App. You are also welcome to call the gallery at 540-552-6446.

From the Blacksburg Gallery, here is a preview of some of the framed prints and originals that will be included in the upcoming online catalog

Newly framed prints and originals for this show will be available for you to view online at beginning Monday, May 25th. You will find these albums under the Specialty Print header. Look for my new print, Pilot Mountain, which will be released in Blacksburg. Pilot Mountain is located in North Carolina not too far from me. Its majestic crown towers above the area. Pilot Mountain will be available in 2 sizes, framed and unframed. Corrado at the P Buckley Moss Gallery of Waynesboro is doing the framing for this show and I can’t wait to see what he creates!
