Dear Friends,
As I am collecting my thoughts for this week’s newsletter, I am also collecting those elusive last minute items to travel with. I leave for Italy this week and will be touring with the Moss Society. We’ve had some outstanding trips in the past, but I can’t help thinking that this year will be even better. Time makes friendships special in such a way that I can only describe as golden. On our journey this year, we are going to places that I have never seen. I will have my sketch book with me. To follow along with me on the Moss Society trip, please use this link to the itinerary. 2019 Moss Trip Itinerary and Information

One of my favorite photos with my daughters Patty (L) and Becky from the 2017 Moss Society Italy trip.

I am looking forward to seeing Enza again. We are co-mothers-in-law, but I’d rather think of us as just family.
My birthday came and went with many a merry moment. It was wonderful that it coincided with the Blacksburg Gallery Open House at their new location. The weather was the best that Virginia had to offer and so many people stopped by. We had cake and the best conversations! I have pictures from the week of the show to share with you.

Ribbon cutting can be such fun when you have the right people with you! Our new neighbors in downtown Blacksburg helped make our grand reopening a delightful occasion. Photo credit: Joe Jennelle

My daughters Mary (L) and Becky (far R) and I were joined by Blackburg local dignitaries Susan, Sharon and Susan. The whole week was full of smiles and laughter, and I thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to make this such a special week for me. Photo credit: Joe Jennelle

Next week I will be writing from Italy. Ciao for now.
