Dear Friends:

I’ve spent a calm week working in my studio and enjoying about four days’ worth of fireworks being lit by neighbors over Claytor Lake.  I didn’t even have to leave the house to enjoy them!

A couple weeks ago, I shared pictures of two paintings-in-progress depicting the New River in southwest Virginia.  The picture above is the finished version of the one that will be printed for the New River Conservancy’s annual picnic on July 23.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Conservancy’s mission of protecting the woodlands, wildlife, and waters of the New River.

I’m excited about this weekend’s Gallery Show and Barn Open House in Waynesboro, Virginia.  The Valley is beautiful in all seasons, and summer is no exception.  I’ve created two new special prints that will be released during the show.  I think they’re both fun and nostalgic.

After the show on Saturday, July 8, the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education will host a 30th Anniversary celebration for the P. Buckley Moss Society on the Commemorative Walkway & Patio at the Moss Barn.  The event will also raise funds for the Foundation.

In the past thirty years, Society members have helped raise over $3,762,438 for organizations nationwide through donations of my art via the Charity Print Collection; over $2,246,161 to benefit charities through raffles, auctions, sales of chapter cookbooks, Bingo parties, donations, and a wide range of other fundraisers; over $105,900 in direct scholarship aid; and over $200,000 to LDA, the Panama Schools Project, the Red Cross, and other charities.  In addition, Society members have helped establish and support the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education to promote the integration of the arts into all educational programs, with a special focus on children who learn in different ways.  Congratulations and thank you to the P.
