Dear Friends,

My beloved Una Ballerina on the Memorial Patio at the Moss Barn.
My Una Ballerina is patiently awaiting the arrival of this weekend’s guests for the annual Summer Barn Show and Gallery Open House with the P Buckley Moss Gallery of Waynesboro. I can’t say that I feel quite as patient. I am really looking forward to this weekend and have arrived in Waynesboro early. The gardens are just lovely and it will be a joy to have visitors at the Barn and for the Foundation Dinner Saturday, July 9th. Speaking of the dinner, I want to share a few updates with you. First and foremost, rain is in the forecast. Please know that the dinner will NOT be cancelled, just merely moved indoors if needed. Regardless of the setting, it promises to be a wonderful evening. Parking will be in the adjacent field next to the Barn. Signs will be out to guide you there. Because of the popularity of this event, the dinner welcome desk will be opening early at 5:15 pm. Look for Foundation office manager Mary Morgan at either the entryway to the patio or the front door of the Barn.
For this dinner, we are pleased to renew our partnership with Barren Ridge Vineyards in nearby Fishersville and 2 of their wines will be featured in the evening’s wine selection. I also want to let you know that 2022 is the 35th anniversary of the formation of the Moss Society. In celebration of this accomplishment, Moss Galleries will be releasing a new print of mine as a gift to each dinner attendee. It’s a surprise and I promised not to say more.

A number of years ago, I gave Barren Ridge Vineyards permission to use 2 of my images on wine bottles. In return, they have faithfully shared a portion of the proceeds with the Moss Foundation. Pictured here is the image on the white wine, Tinkling Spring paired with a P Buckley Moss Cat wine glass. The wine glasses are available through the Moss dealer network and online at pbuckleymoss.com.
My son-in-law Corrado has been a blur of activity in the frame shop in Waynesboro and the results have been outstanding. All of the newly framed work will be on display at the gallery including several framing options for my new print, Blue Ridge Summer. Many older favorites and sold out prints are available too. If you have a particular interest in a subject or a print, be sure to ask the staff for assistance in locating it. There are many resources available to you in Waynesboro.

Corrado was so intent on his work that he never noticed his picture being taken.

One of the newly framed pieces to come out of Corrado’s workshop is a favorite of mine from 2010 titled, Butterflies. This particular painting was inspired and drawn for children I visited in a cancer ward in upstate New York. I encourage you to take time during your Waynesboro Gallery visit to explore all of my work on display there. It spans my entire career.
Until next week,
Love,
