Dear Friends,

Creating art is my form of expression and it comes from deep within. I am like most artists in that there is a certain trepidation when I expose my soul on canvas. I am always delighted (and maybe a little relieved) when I see collectors sharing which work of mine that they have and how it is displayed. Joe and Barbara Cox recently purchased a framed Winter’s Symphony. This print was issued in 2013 and stylishly framed by our Moss Gallery of Waynesboro, Virginia. The Coxes’ have become regular visitors to the Blacksburg gallery and I enjoy the times that I get to visit with them.

My giclee,
Winter’s Symphony, in the Cox home. Isn’t it lovely?

A recent television interview regarding the upcoming print release of the Sidna Allen house, brought me to Roanoke’s WSLS Channel 10 studio. What a change of perspective going from viewer to being interviewed! I was the guest on one of my favorite shows, Daytime Blue Ridge, hosted by Natalie Fuance. The morning show staff was so engaging and professional. They instantly put me and my co-guest, Greg Goad, completely at ease. Greg is a member of the Carroll County Historical Society and he presented the background of the Sidna Allen House, a subject that we both like. I spoke about the part I love, which is the artistry and beauty of the structure and its location.

Greg and I are getting ready for the interview. Greg introduced me to the Sidna Allen House project. He is the brother of my local dentist, Dr. Marlon Goad.

Art and architecture go hand in hand, and I am so happy to be a part of saving this wonderful house. The original owner, Sidna Allen, was an artist and it is evidenced in the woodwork and design incorporated into this home. From L to R, Greg Goad, me and WSLS host, Natalie Fuance.

I will be at the Historic Carroll County Museum in Hillsville, Virginia, Saturday, August 25, 2018, from noon to 2 pm to sign this print.

Until next week,

Love,
