Dear Friends,
I was sad to say goodbye to all the friends as the Society Italy trip came to a close. What a grand tour we shared together! I’d like to thank everyone who helped make this trip a success.

As welcome as a vacation is, so is the return to my home and drawing board. Our cat, Pi, has been a constant companion ever since we opened the door. I am refreshed with new ideas and excited to put them on paper.
This coming weekend, October 6th and 7th, I am returning to Berlin Creek Gallery in Berlin, Ohio. Gallery owner Nancy Tarzan and I will be releasing my new print, Flight to Freedom-Croco House. Located in Holmesville, Ohio, the Croco House was a stop for runaway slaves along the Underground Railroad. Owner Keifer Croco was a fervent abolitionist and it is believed that he hid the travelling slaves in the attic. The property has been registered on the National Register of Historic Places since 1985.

I will return to Waynesboro, VA the following weekend, October 13th-15th. It will be time for the Fall Barn Show and Gallery Open House. If you’re in the area you don’t want to miss this event. Downtown Waynesboro will be hosting the Annual Fall Foliage Festival. This is a beautiful time of the year to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains and share in all that the area has to offer. We will be releasing my new print, Autumn Together.

The P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education will have a booth set up at the Waynesboro Fall Foliage Festival. Pat’s daughter, Becky, and Mary Morgan will be selling raffle tickets for the “Mother and Child” quilt. The tickets are 2 for $5, or $3 each. The money raised goes towards the P. Buckley Moss Scholarship for graduating high school seniors and grants for teachers that integrate visual arts into teaching programs. The booth will also feature two silent auction items as well as an area for kids to make masks.

"There is a harmony in autumn, and a lustre in its sky,
Which through the summer is not heard or seen,
As if it could not be, as if it had not been!"
-Percy Bysshe Shelley
