Dear Friends,

“O hushed October morning mild,

Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,

Should waste them all.

The crows above the forest call;

Tomorrow they may form and go.

O hushed October morning mild,

Begin the hours of this day slow.

Make the day seem to us less brief.”

-Robert Frost

I want to savor every moment of every show and they seem to pass so quickly! My daughter Becky and I thoroughly enjoyed last weekend’s show with Berlin Creek Gallery in Ohio. I have a few pictures to share with you.

Great weather, fall leaves and flowers provided the perfect setting for Moss friends and collectors to reunite. Pictured with me is my daughter Becky.

A Murder Mystery dinner provided intrigue for our group as we enjoyed a fine Amish dinner together. Thank you to everyone who came

My love and thanks to the thoughtful staff at Berlin Creek Gallery for coordinating another engaging and memorable weekend. From L to R: Alysha (Nancy’s daughter), Nancy Tarzan and Tracy. See you next year!

The Moss Gallery of Waynesboro will be welcoming friends and collectors this weekend, October 9-11, for the Annual Fall Barn Show and Gallery Open House. Fall is certainly one of the best times to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains and I am anxious to return home. My new print for release at this show, Valley View, has been beautifully framed by Corrado. Pictured below are 4 of the many possibilities for framing. Notice how the subtle combination of matte colors highlight different aspects of the painting.

With so many options for framing, it can be overwhelming to choose. The friendly and knowledgeable staff at the Moss Gallery of Waynesboro will help you decide on what framing will work best with your décor.

In addition to the framed show prints, an online companion album has been created for you to view. By following this link, you will see my newest work framed. I really enjoy these albums and I think you will too.

A newly framed version of a seasonal favorite print.

A reminder too is that from October 1-14 the gallery will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sales of select cat prints to non-profit Cat’s Cradle of Harrisonburg. To learn more about Cat’s Cradle please follow this link.

For all of the extended Moss family, friends and collectors I ask that you join me in following the Virginia Department of Health guidelines for the prevention of Covid. All guests will need to maintain a 6 foot distance from one another and wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth. Don’t worry if you show up without your mask, the gallery has plenty on-hand.

October also will see me returning to Ohio on the 23rd and 24th for a 2 day show with Canada Goose Gallery in Waynesville, Ohio. This year we will be releasing 2 prints together. Here is a preview of the artwork with the story to follow in an upcoming newsletter.

Cat Family Christmas $50, IS: 6 x 4-7/8 ins. Edition 250 and 25 ap’s. Just in time for the holidays, in this print my whimsical cats adorn a Christmas tree in a manner preferred by most cats

Our Black Barn, $100, IS: 6-3/4 x 17-7/16 ins. Edition 250 and 25 ap’s. This greenhouse and farm market business, locally known as The Black Barn, is located in nearby Lebanon, Ohio.

Canada Goose Gallery is accepting pre-orders for these prints and is readily available to answer questions about this show and discuss your custom framing needs. The phone number is 513-897-4348.
