Dear Friends,

I want to thank everyone who took the time to come see me at the Fall Barn Show and Gallery Open House that was held in Waynesboro, Virginia last weekend. Your smiling faces and kind words were much appreciated.

My children saw to it that I was well protected!

My new print titled Valley View found its way into some special hands. Baseball great, and soon to be Hall of Famer, Omar Vizquel stopped by the Moss Gallery of Waynesboro to purchase the print.

Pi made the most of her visit to the Barn, taking time every evening to stretch out.

My daughter Patty will be accompanying me to my next show which will be October 22nd and 23rd with Canada Goose Gallery in Waynesville, Ohio. I have a story to share about Our Black Barn, one of 2 prints slated for release at this show. This painting, Our Black Barn is of The Black Barn, a family owned business located in Lebanon, Ohio. They have been in business since 1972 and reside in a 150 year old Shaker built barn. In their 16 greenhouses and 10 acres of planted fields they produce an array of flowers, bedding plants and produce, and have become a regional favorite place to shop. Given the unsavory nature of events in 2020, the owners took one acre of their farm and designated it to be a happy place. Giant sunflowers were planted and visitors were encouraged to take selfies there and share the happiness.

Canada Goose Gallery
will be donating 20% of the proceeds from the sales of Our Black Barn to the Lebanon Alumni Association. Their mission is best defined by a quote from their webpage which states, “The Lebanon Alumni Association is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to supporting friendships among Lebanon former students, to provide non-traditional scholarships for deserving Lebanon students, and to generally enjoy the good will that Lebanon alumni feel for their school.” You may preorder this print by calling the gallery at 513-897-4348 or by visiting https://canadagoosegallery.com.

To finish out October I will be visiting King James Galleries of Gettysburg for a long awaited gallery open house. This may be the only show the gallery will host this year, and I am honored to be the guest. The dates are Friday, October 30th from 5pm to 7 pm, and Saturday, the 31st from 10 am until 3 pm. Manager Debra Starry is pleased to be able to open the doors of her gallery for this very special event. For those of you on Facebook, Debra will go live on October 21st at 3 pm eastern, with a message about our upcoming show. You can tune in by following this link to the gallery home page.

Paw Prints on Our Heart is my new print for release at this show. King James Galleries of Gettysburg will be donating 20% of the proceeds from the sales of this print to benefit the Adams County SPCA in Gettysburg. Not only humans have been adversely affected by the economic troubles of 2020. This shelter takes care of all kinds of animals and is in need of money to buy food for them.

Paw Prints on Our Heart, $70, IS: 9 x 7-3/4 ins., Edition 250 and 25 ap’s

Pennsylvania has strict guidelines for the prevention of Covid transmission and the gallery will be following them. Debra has put together a schedule for visiting the gallery and is asking everyone to call ahead and reserve a time. Facial coverings will be required for entry to the building. For questions regarding the show and to make your reservation, please call 717-398-2034.

The Moss Foundation and I extend our gratitude to Martha Williams for her design, creation and donation of a gorgeous quilt to be used for fundraising. We are so blessed to be the recipient of such a labor of love. Thank you Martha.

Martha Williams and her newest gift to the Moss Foundation.

Until next week,

Love,
