Dear Friends,
Happy Halloween!

Raven Original Watercolor, Created in 2020. 11 x 11-1/2 ins., $4,400.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door-
Only this and nothing more.”
Edgar Allan Poe
Don’t you love good literature? Many of the classics written about this time of year are filled with suspense and make for good listening while travelling. I will have my audio book playing on my way to Saturday’s show with King James Galleries of Winchester. With 1 of my daughters in the van, it is reminiscent of times while raising my family we would gather in the evening for a story.
I want to let you know that my Winchester show begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. It was incorrectly posted on my Facebook event listing. I don’t want to miss seeing any of you. My new print, Apples of the Valley, is a companion piece for Blossoms of the Valley that Gallery Manager Marian Sempeles and I released this spring. I enjoy her framing and am looking forward to seeing what she has created for this show.
I have a several photos from recent shows to share with you. My schedule has me moving at a rapid pace and I don’t always remember to share the special moments I’ve had with friends this fall.

From my show with King James Galleries in Gettysburg, I had the immense pleasure of having dinner with dear friends from Hanover, PA. Seated with me from L to R: Bill Gobrecht, Pat Martin from Martin’s Gallery in Hanover, my daughter Becky, me and Sally Gobrecht.

I enjoyed meeting Aaron and Jennifer Rouse at Nikki Giovanni’s retirement celebration last week. Aaron said he was grateful for Nikki’s classes, and he attributes his success in the NFL and life through the insights he received there as a student at Virginia Tech.

One more photo from the retirement party. It was a fabulous evening with Nikki’s friends and family. They are extraordinary and I enjoyed our conversations. Pictured here is Juanita and Ginney (R). Juanita is a Queen Mother in Ghana and Ginney is Nikki’s partner.
When Canada Goose Gallery and I get together for a show, it is like going to class reunion, but much better. New friends and so many old friends stopped by. Here is the story in pictures.

I may have had the best seat in the house. My signing table was by one of the big picture windows at the front door.

Members of the Pals for Life breast cancer support group join me in this photo. Canada Goose Gallery and I have worked with them over the years in support of their program.

I love when a custom picture framer steps out of the box of expectations and creates a new surrounding for my art. This photo shows my Flowers on Red giclée with a unique and beautiful yellow frame.

I had fun being the Italian mama with collectors Tom and Laurie Walters.

I think 4 years may have passed since I’ve seen my friend Wilma. So happy you came.
Until next week,
Love,
