Dear Friends,
On Saturday, November 11th we observe, acknowledge and thank all of those who have served in the U.S. military. Veterans are America’s heroes. I believe Arthur Ashe succinctly described our veterans when he said, “True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”

My show season would not be complete without a stop at Up Against the Wall Gallery in Kingsport, TN. Gallery owners Mike and Lisa Milhorn will be hosting a one-day holiday open house on Saturday, November 18th from 10 am until 2 pm. The address is 316 East Market St.
I have had the privilege recently of working with the Fairfield Foundation in Gloucester, Virginia, to produce a print for them to use for fundraising. This non-profit was formed to preserve Middle Peninsula history through archaeology and education. Currently the foundation manages the Fairfield Archaeology Park, Rosewell Ruins, Walter Reed Birthplace and Timberneck House. Together, on November 21st, we will release my new print of Timberneck House, with a portion of the proceeds designated to purchase materials for the renovation.

Until next week,
