The holiday season is upon us and with it I close out my fall touring season. I have had the good fortune to meet new people and learn a few things along the way. A recent visit to Timberneck House on November 21st provided such an occasion. I was there to assist in fundraising for restoration of the property when I met students from The Lynnhaven School of Richmond. They were there on an archaeologic field trip to learn about the digs around Timberneck house and the surrounding area. Lynnhaven is a private high school known as a micro school. Small class sizes and a diverse course of study is presented to students with the hope of fostering a lifelong passion for learning.

I’m on my way to Wanesboro for my three-day Barn Show and Gallery Open House with the Moss Gallery of Waynesboro. Three of my daughters will be there with their families. I am so happy to have them there.  It will be like a continuation of Thanksgiving. I have brought with me several portfolios of new work. They will be on display at my Barn on Friday, and then at the gallery for the rest of the show.

My new print, Peace Within, is being officially released by the gallery Friday, December 1st. This painting readily lends itself to a variety of framing choices. I managed to get a photo of two framing options created by Corrado.

Additional events for the weekend will be the drawings for the Nutcracker Gift Basket and the 2023 Moss Foundation Quilt on Sunday, the 3rd. The gallery tree is magnificent, and it is adorned with ornaments made by students at Wilson Elementary School. I can’t wait to see it.

As promised, I have the second print for my December 8-9 show with Gallery Art Center in Columbus, Ohio. I have felt a certain light heartedness and hope for this holiday season, and it has presented itself in my artwork.
