Dear Friends,
My fall tour concluded last weekend with a holiday open house at our Blacksburg Gallery. Such a festive occasion! My daughters Becky and Mary decorated the gallery and set the tone for a wonderful holiday celebration. Our special guests were the students of the Renaissance Music Academy. The Renaissance Music Academy of Virginia is the oldest, largest, and most established non-profit community music school in southwest Virginia. Founded in 1993, the RMA offers serious study for ages 2 years old through adult. The RMA is recognized by the National Guild for Community Arts Education for its quality programs.
There’s a palpable kind of magic in the air when you combine art and music. Collectors browsed the extensive selection of art while the gallery was filled with the superb tones crafted by these young musicians.
A collector studying the beautifully framed Long Winter’s Nap, my Christmas print for this year.
Imagine all of our delight to match up my print, Little Maestro, with this young violinist!
My heart swells with joy and hope when a young artist shares their work with me.
“Hark! How the bells
Sweet silver bells
All seem to say,
Throw cares away.
Christmas is here
Bringing good cheer
To young and old
Meek and the bold.”
– Carol of the Bells
Christmas is here and for me that means family too! Here is son-in-law Roberto and Granddaughter Michela arriving in D.C. from Italy with a considerable amount of luggage. (I hope it’s filled with food.)
For Christmas I send my love and gratitude to my family, friends and collectors, and a wish for good health and happiness to all.
Love,
