Dear Friends:
My daughter Becky and I went to a performance of Annelise on Sunday afternoon that was held at the Squires Recital Salon at Virginia Tech. It was glorious! Annelise is based on the text of the Diary of Anne Frank set to music by British composer James Whitbourn. The music was performed by members of Musica Viva of Blacksburg, featuring David Ehrlich on violin, Teresa Ehrlich on piano, Ben Wyatt on cello, Phillip Paglialonga on clarinet, and soprano soloist Ariana Wyatt, and conducted by Larry Wyatt. The twenty-member Colla Voce Choir from Columbia, South Carolina, accompanied them.
Some of the members of Musica Viva are instructors for the Renaissance Music Academy (RMA) of Virginia, including David and Teresa Ehrlich. My Blacksburg gallery has been blessed to host several performances by students of the RMA, and in February we will have a performance by Musica Viva! For more information on the upcoming performance at the gallery, please give my daughter Becky a call at 540-552-6446.

(Ret.), Alumni Director for the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, right, holding my painting of Lane Hall in front of the actual Lane Hall building. The print will be released later this spring.
I’ve spent the cold, snowy days working in my cozy studio, and I’ll have more paintings to show you soon.
