Dear Friends:
I don't follow hockey, but I certainly enjoyed the final match between
USA and Canada at the end of the Olympics. What a finale for the Olympic
Games! The hockey game itself was exciting, but I also admired the great
sportsmanship of the two teams. Of course, I was rooting for the Americans
to win, but it was nice for the hosting country to have the glory, too.
All the athletes at the Games can go home with their heads held high,
for they have represented their countries honorably and displayed excellent
sportsmanship. They have also expressed their gratitude, not only for
their athletic gifts, but also for the opportunities given to them by
their parents and their countries. God bless our wonderful world! Hopefully
the Olympic Games will continue to bring us all together in joy and
peace for generations to come.
I'm excited, because I just found out that my friend Marlyn De Waard,
who is a member of the Board of Directors for the P.
Buckley Moss Society, is going to be getting her very own Florida
license plate! Marlyn hales from Battlecreek, Michigan, and has been
spending her winters near me in Florida for the last several years.
She has decided to become a year-round resident and is buying a condo,
so I'll get to see her whenever I'm in St. Pete. Howdy, neighbor!
I spent this past weekend with members of my staff and some of my authorized
dealers during our annual winter Dealers' Meeting. We had such fun brainstorming
and planning, and it looks like it will be a busy year for us.
During our Dealers' Meeting we discussed new products for this year.
The ornament pictured above isn't titled yet, but it will be one of
our new Christmas ornaments for this year. It is the second in a series
of star-shaped ornaments.
This Thursday I'll be at the opening reception of my exhibit
at The Cultural Arts Center at
Glen Allen. The Cultural Arts Center is a wonderful facility, and
I'm looking forward to my work being displayed there. If you're in the
area the evening of March 4, please come and say hi. I'm also looking
forward to seeing many of my friends from the Moss on the James Chapter
of the Society, who have volunteered to help out during the reception.
March is here; and, although it's still cold and wintry in Virginia
right now, I know spring is just around the corner. I can hardly wait
for my April 23-25 Barn
Show and Museum Open House when we'll release my new giclée
Appalachian Spring.
Appalachian Spring will be released during my April 23-25 Barn Show
and Museum Open House in Waynesboro, Va. For more information, please
contact the Museum at 1-800-343-8643.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the Museum's
annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 3 at 1:00 p.m. The event is being hosted
by the Museum in conjunction with the P.
Buckley Moss Foundation for Children's Education. Magician Brian
Bence will be on hand again to entertain and delight young and old alike,
and there will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny himself!
Pre-registration is required, so please call the Museum at 540-949-6473
or 1-800-343-8643 for more information and to pre-register.
Love,
Pat
