Dear Friends:
It’s great to be back in Virginia and getting to see spring unfold.
The trees are budding, and the daffodils, redbud, and forsythia are
blooming—beautiful! There are so many different shades of green
that are visible in the spring, and I love seeing all the shades and
colors the season has to offer.
Spring is coming to the P. Buckley Moss Museum.
As most of you know, the P.
Buckley Moss Society is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year
with three fabulous birthday parties. The first one will be at the Blank
Park Zoo in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 28; the second, at the P.
Buckley Moss Museum in Waynesboro, Virginia, on June 15; and the
third, in conjunction with my Collectors’
Convention in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, July 20-21.
I’ve been working on some fabric squares that will become the
centerpieces for three special quilted wall hangings that are being
made to auction at the birthday parties. The proceeds from the auctions
will benefit the P. Buckley
Moss Foundation for Children’s Education, Ronald McDonald
Houses, and the P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship. I’ve actually
created five squares in all, so I have two spares.
Pat has painted fabric squares that will be worked into quilts for
the P. Buckley Moss Society to auction at their 20th anniversary birthday
parties this year.
I’m very grateful to the talented ladies who are
doing the quilting. Betty Donahoe from Fort Dodge, Iowa, and a member
of the Central Iowa Chapter will do the stitching on the wall hanging
for the Society’s first birthday party in Des Moines. Ladye Buckner
of Grayson, Georgia, and a member of the Mossaphile Chapter will do
the honors for the wall hanging that will be auctioned at my Museum
in Waynesboro, Virginia, in June. The quilter for the Lancaster, Pennsylvania,
event in July is yet to be determined. Quilters are truly artists, and
I admire their work. I love it that the chapters are so supportive and
involved with our celebration plans, too.
Another painting I’ve recently finished is for Martin’s
Gallery in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Our Town Fountain will be
released as a print edition at their show April 13-14, and I’ll
be there to sign the prints!
Our Town Fountain will be released during Pat's appearance at Martin's
Gallery, Hanover, PA, April 13-14. For more information, call the gallery,

Looking forward to seeing you soon…
Love,
Pat
