Dear Friends:
My daughter Mary and I boarded the ship for our Quilt Camp at Sea Cruise to the Southern Caribbean and the Panama Canal on Monday. We had a great trip down from Virginia over the weekend and stopped in Atlanta to see my granddaughter Kate and her boyfriend Michael. Kate’s sister Sarah is loaning Kate her bicycle, and we delivered it. Kate loves to bike ride, and she’s looking forward to using it on the BeltLine, which provides a network of public parks, multi-use trails, and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods directly to each other. Kate took us to see some of it, and the parks and trails are beautiful.
My daughter Mary, granddaughter Kate, and I having fun at Atlanta’s BeltLine.
On our way to meet the ship in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, we stopped to see friends in St. Petersburg. Although we didn’t arrive in time to go walking, I did see one of my walking friends Sidney. It was so nice to also see my friends Mary Margaret Winning and Joyce Wilson. We toured around Clearwater Beach with Mary Margaret, who hadn’t been there in years. Sunday night, we had dinner with members of the Moss Pelicans Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society. It was wonderful to see everyone again! Hopefully, I’ll be able to go back when my daughter Ginny and I pick up my grandson Picco from college in Sarasota.
It was such fun getting together with old friends in St. Pete. Here, I’m with Mary Margaret Winning and Joyce Wilson (seated).
’Til next week…
Love,
Pat
