The Art of P. Buckley Moss

Those of you who are members of the P. Buckley Moss Society and receive the Sentinel, will already know about my weight challenge to all who are, like me, overweight. The challenge is to lose 10 lbs before June 30.

Yesterday, Malcolm and I came back from a three week stay in Panama, where I painted everyday. Our home on the island of Colon is very tranquil and I am able to work undisturbed. This morning is show and tell as I bring to our publishing team the results of my work. Throughout yesterday as we travelled back to Mathews, I was anticipating this moment of seeing the reaction of Jake and Linden. Happily they are delighted.

This next weekend, April 19-21, I will be in Waynesboro, Virginia, for a special showing at the Museum and at my Barn. I will be at the barn signing prints and greeting visitors. The following weekend, Malcolm and I will be in Williamsburg to meet with members of the board of the Society. The Society is an important part of our lives because it is the means by which we are able to help many people in need. I am particularly grateful to the Society for bringing into being The P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children's Education, through which we are able to do much for the cause of art in children's education.

On Saturday May 4, I am back to the Shenandoah Valley to be crowned May Queen of the Buffalo Springs Herb Farm in Raphine. Virginia. I never thought I would be a May Queen and at this late stage in my life the honor comes as a very pleasant surprise. The Herb Farm is a favorite of mine and I am greatly looking forward to that day.

Talking about looking forward, the big future excitement is our National Collectors' Convention in Cedar Rapids Iowa on the weekend June 7-9. If you have never been to one of our conventions and can make it to Cedar Rapids, I promise you will have a good time. Even if you cannot be with us for the whole weekend, come and look in on what we are up to. If you contact your local Moss dealer, he will give you more information or if you like just e-mail me and I will arrange for one of our staff to contact you.
