Dear Friends:

Oh, how I’m looking forward to being at The Barn this weekend and seeing the flowers in bloom and having all my friends around!

I hope that all who care about young people and the arts will come and visit our 2nd Annual P. Buckley Moss Invitational Art Show. Art students from all over the Shenandoah Valley and beyond will have their entries displayed at the Museum until May 20. The opening of the show will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. I love to see the young people’s work and creativity, and I love the sincerity and energy they put into it. I’ve already chosen the one that I like and think is outstanding as the grand prize winner, and I hope you’ll agree with me. It is energetic, creative, and spontaneous. Come and enjoy the opening with me!

Our special print for this weekend’s Museum and Barn Open House features Swannanoa, which sits like a graceful lady on top of Afton Mountain. I always thought that it would make a wonderful gallery (for me, of course).
