Dear Friends:
Congratulations to all our graduates! I’ve created a new
graduation print in their honor. I’d like to give a special
shout-out to my own granddaughter Sarah Donnelly, who is graduating
from Radford High School this Friday.
Hooray!
I had so much fun painting in St. Petersburg, Florida,
these past two weeks, and I really got a lot done. I can hardly
wait to show you what I’ve been working on as their respective
shows draw nearer.
It was such fun creating these two blue cats.
I’ll be showing this Thursday and Friday, June
4-5, with my friend Mary Ann Warren at Graphics, Etc., in Roanoke, Virginia.
I’ll leave just in time Friday afternoon to catch Sarah’s
graduation. Wild horses couldn’t keep me away! In
the meantime, I’ll enjoy seeing all my Roanoke friends and celebrating
the Moss in the Valley Chapter of the P.
Buckley Moss Society’s 20th anniversary with its members.
Friday morning we’re going to take a tour together of Roanoke’s
beautiful, new Taubman Museum of Art before the gallery show starts.
By the way, my son Chris Moss will be attending Graphics’ show,
too, along with my daughter Patty. I think many of you know Patty,
but not so many know Chris; so, come out and say hi to him!
Spring Together will be released during my show with Graphics, Etc.,
in Roanoke, VA, June 4-5. For more information, please contact
the gallery at 540-982-8441.
I’ll be leaving for Italy June 14 to spend a couple
weeks with my daughter Becky and her family in Cortona before we join
almost the entire Moss clan on the Society’s group
cruise on the Mediterranean June 28. It’s going to be
such fun; and, I’m especially looking forward to our stop in Sicily,
where my mother’s family is from.
I’ll return to Virginia just in time for my Museum
Open House and Barn Show July 10-12. I’ve created a
special print edition for this show titled The Park, which
depicts Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, Virginia.
My special print for the Museum Open House and Barn Show July 10-12
is The Park, depicting Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, Va.
Another painting I had fun creating is my new Iowa
Tractor Ride piece. The print edition will be released in
conjunction with WHO
Radio and Heritage Art Galleries in Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa,
to commemorate the 13th Annual Great Iowa Tractor Ride. Heritage
Art Galleries are having a Show without Moss June 22-24, which coincides
with the Great Iowa Tractor Ride event. If I lived there, I would
ride my new little John Deere that was my birthday gift in the event.
Wouldn’t that be fun! A portion of the proceeds from the
sale of the prints through the end of the show will benefit Farm Safety
4 Just Kids in Urbandale, Iowa, a charity that advocates a safe environment
for children on our farms.
Iowa Tractor Ride will be released during Heritage Art Galleries’
Show without Moss June 22-24. For more information, please contact
the galleries at 319-236-0000 (Waterloo) and 319-266-4681 (Cedar Falls).
I’m off to Roanoke and Radford!
Love,
Pat
