Judging by the heat and humidity, summer has indeed arrived! I have been enjoying some quiet time in my studio and am very thankful for air conditioning.
These two little bird paintings were inspired by the view from my studio window.
I’m looking forward to our Waynesboro gallery show and Barn Open House July 10-12. The P. Appalachian Summer will be released during my July 10-12 gallery show and Barn Open House in Waynesboro, VA. It is the final season in my popular “Appalachian Stream Series”. For more information, please contact the gallery at 540-949-6473.
The fundraising dinner will be catered by Eric Stamer Catering and will include rosemary roasted chicken; steamed saffron rice; baked penne pasta; lentil, feta, and arugula salad; green bean niçoise; freshly baked bread and sweet butter; Virginia apple spice cake; sweet or unsweet tea; and coffee. Beer and wine will also be provided. The dinner is going to be fun! We have friends coming from all over the country.
The fundraising event will also include live and silent auctions. One of the live auction items will be a lovely quilt featuring one of my hand-painted centerpieces. The quilt was designed and quilted by Marianne Fickling and Lois Driskill.
This colorful and lovely quilt made by Marianne Fickling and Lois Driskill will be auctioned during the Foundation’s fundraising dinner on July 11.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Dorothy “Dot” Baldwin, long-time member of the Moss in the Valley Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society. Dot was a very active member, serving terms as President, Secretary, and Treasurer for the Chapter throughout the years. I remember her beautiful smile and enthusiasm for supporting the Chapter’s charity raffles. She will be missed!
