Dear Friends:

I’m looking forward to a wonderful weekend with Les and Pat Martin of Martin’s Gallery in Hanover, Pennsylvania, and all my friends with the Lake Marburg Moss Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society.  I have created a special print to commemorate Hanover’s Sestercentennial (250th) Anniversary, titled Sestercentennial, Hanover, PA.  The print features the Hanover Market House, the Warehime-Myers Mansion, and the Neas House, which are all very meaningful to Hanover.  I will also attend a reception hosted by the Hanover Historical Society at the Warehime-Myers Mansion on Friday, June 21.

Sestercentennial, Hanover, PA, will be released during my show with Martin’s Gallery in Hanover, PA, on Saturday, June 22.  For more information, please contact the gallery at 717-632-3355.

Sunday morning, my daughter Patty and I are leaving for Florida to pack up my house in St. Petersburg, which I have sold to a terrific couple.  I’ve also sold the gallery and parking lot to a different couple, who own the five-story hotel and restaurant next door.  They’ve wanted the parking lot for a long time, and I know they’ll make good use of it.  I am thrilled to know that the couple who bought the house love it and are going to keep it, because I have loved it.  I thought at first the properties would become high rises, but it turns out that neither the house nor the parking lot will meet that fate.  Yay!

There are some delightful apartments in St. Pete, and I hope to find one downtown so I can continue to spend my winters there.  I love painting in St. Pete, I love the light, and I love my friends.  It’s a very happy place for me to be.

Gallery manager Bonnie-Lou Binnig will be closing my gallery in St. Pete (727-202-6955) after this weekend, so be sure to stop in and see it one last time.  After this Saturday, anything that anyone wants to purchase may be ordered from P. Buckley Moss Galleries, Ltd.

I’m looking forward to my Museum and Barn Open House July 12-14, and the following day I’m leaving for Europe with my family.  It’s going to be a busy and exciting summer!

Summer’s Hush will be released during my Museum and Barn Open House July 12-14.  For more information, please contact the Museum at 1-800-343-8643 or 540-949-6473.

Patty and I spent this past Saturday afternoon with members of the Moss on the James Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society at their Chapter President Barbara Dyke’s home on the Little Wicomico River, which is on Virginia’s Northern Neck.  It was the Chapter’s end of the year potluck meeting, and we had such fun.

What a view!  Barbara’s property overlooks the Little Wicomico River.

They had requested that I do a demonstration for them, but I couldn’t do justice to the sketches due to my eyes not focusing.  I’m in the middle of healing from back to back cataract surgeries, and it has slowed down my work some.  However, I can tell a big difference already, with improved close-up vision, and I hope to have new glasses by or before my July Museum and Barn Open House.

Love,
Pat
