Hello Friends,
Happy 4th of July. This year my thoughts and prayers will turn to
those who lost loved ones during the past year and particularly to the
families of our heroes in the war against terrorism. It will be a day
of great grief and painful memories for many and they all deserve our
prayers. For me it will be a sad day because this will be the first
4th of July my mother has not been with me or there to talk to me on
the phone.

This past weekend I spent in Mathews with my chef son John. We worked
in the garden and messed around in my boat, catching crabs and croakers
in the creek. John's love is cooking and fishing so we dined well on
fish and pork loin.

I will be in Panama this July 4th. Malcolm and I are there for two
weeks. I will paint everyday and he will monitor the happenings on the
farm. After that we hurry back for the Barn Open House where I hope
I will meet some of you.
Have a safe weekend and a happy one and remember with me those less
fortunate than us.
Love,
Pat
