Dear Friends:
Our drive up from Florida was gorgeous. It’s so exciting to see everything in bloom.
Packing up my home was not the most fun, but what great memories came to mind when I saw some of the things I was packing and began thinking about where I would put them in another location. We drove to Waynesboro, Virginia, and spent the day at The Barn and then drove over to Mathews that night. I’ll return to Florida once more to finish packing before my July Museum Show and Barn Open House. After that, I’ll be leaving for Italy and Greece, and I still have all the packing to do for the trip!
The grounds are beautiful at The Barn and the Museum. God bless Museum Director Corrado Gabellieri and his crew. I can always count on them to keep things looking exquisite.
My very own daylily that was cultivated by Stuart and Diane Kendig of Perfect Perennials in York, PA, and named after me is in full bloom and looking fabulous.
My July 12-14 Museum Show and Barn Open House is going to be such fun. After Friday’s show, I’ll head over to Barren Ridge Vineyards in nearby Fishersville, Virginia, for a fundraiser for the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be wine and hors d’oeuvres and live and silent auctions. Come share the beautiful summer night with us! The cost is $40 per person. For more information, please contact the Foundation office at 540-932-1728 or foundation@mossfoundation.org.
We will have very special music at The Barn on Saturday, July 13, when the Academy Chamber Ensemble, participating in the Wintergreen Performing Arts—Music in Unusual Places program, will give two performances, one at 11:30 a.m. and one at 2:00 p.m. Music and art, what a great combination!
Summer’s Hush will be released during my July 12-14 Museum Show and Barn Open House. For more information, please contact the P. Buckley Moss Museum at 1-800-343-8643 or 540-949-6473.
I’m still celebrating my birthday. Thank you to everyone! It certainly means a lot to know I have so many wonderful friends!
Happy 4th of July!
Love,
Pat
The Museum hosted “An Afternoon at the P. Buckley Moss Museum with Tanya Anisimova and Dr. Arnold Popkin” on June 29 and June 30. Tanya Anisimova (left) is an internationally renowned cellist and also served, together with her husband Alexander Anufriev, as one of the painting judges for the Museum’s 2nd Annual P. Buckley Moss Invitational Art Show. Accompanying Tanya on the piano was Dr. Arnold Popkin, (right) a recently retired ophthalmologist who has combined his career as an ophthalmologist with a very active musical life. He often performs as a soloist with other fine musicians, including violinists, cellists, flutists, and singers.
