Dear Friends:
Never fear! The Museum, Barn, and P. Buckley Moss Galleries, Ltd., made it through last Friday’s severe thunderstorms with no serious damage. The Museum staff has LOTS of limbs and sticks to clean up after Mother Nature did some serious pruning for us, but the grounds will be pristine again well in time for our Museum Open House and Barn Show July 13-15.
L. to R.: Museum maintenance workers Brian Henkle, Jason Shea, and Josh Via hard at work cleaning up the debris from Friday night’s severe thunderstorm.
Mother Nature gave the trees on the Museum grounds a thorough pruning.
A big thank you to all the power crews who have been working so hard to restore power to the region! I understand crews from other states and even Canada are helping out. What great neighbors! We’re all grateful to have one another for support. I’m leaving Wednesday morning to fly back to Virginia, and it’s good to know that I will come home to functioning air conditioning!
I’ve been out with all my friends here in St. Pete, including a final Tuesday morning walk with The Streetwalkers, and saying farewell until November, when I return for my fall show with the Finn Gallery. Now, I’m working on closing up my studio and packing.
This Saturday, July 7, I’ll be signing at MAG-The Gallery in Mathews, Virginia, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and I can hardly wait to see all my friends in Waynesboro the following weekend when I’m there for my Open House and Barn Show. My daughter Becky and granddaughters Sofia and Michela will be there, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing them.
Carrying Honor Forward will be released during my July 13-15 Museum Open House and Barn Show in Waynesboro, VA, and features Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Lexington, Virginia, including the new addition to the Barracks as well as its clock tower. For more information, please contact the Museum at 1-800-343-8643 or 540-949-6473.
Happy 4th of July! See you in Waynesboro at my beautiful Museum!
Love,
Pat
