Dear Friends:
I am back in Mathews, Virginia, spending a little bit of the summer on the Bay. I love to look out on the water—it’s so peaceful—and I enjoy seeing all my friends here.
Horn Harbor in Mathews is a tidal creek fed by the Chesapeake Bay.
My daughter Patty’s friend Diane and her daughter Carrie Rose came over from Richmond this past weekend for a visit. Pictured, L. to R., are: Patty, Carrie Rose, Mary Morgan, and me. Carrie’s mom Diane is not pictured.
My daughters Becky and Mary have repainted another wall in our gallery in Blacksburg. They are getting ready for a meet-and-greet with Downtown Blacksburg, Inc., this week. It is comprised of a group of downtown businesses. The girls are so proud of the gallery, and we invite all to come see it.
We need prayers for my dear friend Lindsay Svetlay, who started the Mossaphile Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society in the Atlanta area in 1988. We love Lindsay and admire the work she has done with the Mossaphiles. She had a bad fall down her stairs and is in rehab. We are praying for a speedy recovery.
Another dear friend, Barry Watson, who owns The Framery in Marietta, Georgia, has our deepest sympathy for the loss of his brother Ben. I have met Ben and his wife Pat several times at The Framery when I’ve been there for shows. Ben was a lovely man, and he will be missed.
I hope you are staying cool in the summer heat.
Love,
