Dear Friends:

August is shaping up to be an exciting month for me.  This weekend I’ll be in Waynesboro, Virginia, for the P. Buckley Moss Society’s annual Chapter Training Weekend.  Chapter training is an informal and informative opportunity for Society chapters across the country to meet and exchange ideas, hear speakers and presenters, and have fun.  Society chapters have helped raise over $1 million to help those in need, benefitting children’s health, education, and welfare; the American Cancer Society; and many others.

Last week four members of the Board of Directors of the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education got together in Mathews for a couple days to do some planning for theFoundation.  Peggy Goodwin, who is the Society’s Vice President (Chapters), also serves on the Foundation’s Board, and we talked about plans for Chapter Training.  The other three Foundation Board members were Dr. Linda Wilson, Dr. Douglas Ball, and my daughter Patty Moss.  The Society and the Foundation’s Boards of Directors are all volunteers who give their time so unselfishly to help others, and I am very grateful for their time and dedication.

Next weekend I’ll be in Waynesboro again for The Moss Portfolio’s biannual Dealers’ Meeting.  Like the Society’s Chapter Training Weekend, our Dealers’ Meetings are an informal, relaxed opportunity for the galleries and frame shops that carry my work to get together to exchange ideas, learn about innovative marketing techniques, and hear about what’s new at The Moss Portfolio.  We learn a lot from each other at our Dealers’ Meetings.

One of the items we’ll discuss during the Dealers’ Meeting is my two new porcelain ornaments.  A Star to Guide Them and Blessed Winter are both in stock and available for purchase.

A Star to Guide Them $45
Blessed Winter $40

August 22-23 I’ll be in Columbus, Ohio, for a show with my friends at Gallery Art Center.  Gallery owner Suzi Campbell and I will release my new print Buckeye Landmarks, which features the Victory Bell, the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, and the Lane Avenue Bridge on the campus of Ohio State University.

Buckeye Landmarks, depicting the campus of Ohio State University, will be released during my show with Gallery Art Center in Columbus, OH, August 22-23.  For more information, please contact the gallery at 614-442-1109.

I’ll be at the world-famous Greenbrier Hotel and Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, August 30-31 for a show with Kitten’s Korner.  Gallery owner Ruth Miller and I will release my new print The Greenbrier-America’s Resort.

The Greenbrier-America’s Resort will be released August 30-31 during my show with Kitten’s Korner, which will be held at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV.  For more information, please contact the gallery at 304-536-9206.

That takes me up to September, which will be another exciting month of shows and friends.  One event I’m really excited about is my Collectors’ Convention at the Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke, Virginia, September 12-13.  I’ve shown you pictures of the painting for the large Convention print, which is titled Thomas Jefferson, and now I’m ready to show you the painting for the small Convention print.

Hotel Roanoke will be released as the small feature print for my Collectors’ Convention September 12-13 at the Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke, VA.  In addition to the hotel and conference center, the print depicts St. Andrews Catholic Church (a favorite of mine) in the background.  For more information, please contact The Moss Portfolio at 1-800-430-1320.

I hope to see you soon!

Love,
Pat
