Dear Friends:
What a lovely show we had last weekend at our Blacksburg, Virginia, gallery! I had such fun talking with everyone, from old friends to students, and I even got to hold a brand new baby!
Life imitating art—these three beautiful sisters all play high school basketball. Their mother purchased my print Rally to Victory.
Our friend Joe Jennelle purchased my original painting of The Lyric. Joe has happy memories of going to The Lyric Theatre often when he was growing up.
Oh, the joy of holding a newborn baby! Her visit to our gallery was her very first outing. What an honor! Mina Kairani Klinedinst is the daughter of our friends Krisha Chachra and Derek Klinedinst. Krisha is the Vice Mayor of Blacksburg.
Marion Roark, our faithful friend and treasurer of the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education’s Board of Directors, spent two days at the gallery selling raffle tickets for an exquisitely made quilt. The quilt, pictured below, was made by Jeannine McNeill and Linda Gorman and features one of my hand-painted fabric centerpieces. Proceeds from the raffle will support the Foundation’s scholarships for learning different students who are continuing their education and for students studying to be teachers in the field of Special Education.
Quilters Jeannine McNeill and Linda Gorman named this quilt Curiosity Did What? Raffle tickets are 1 for $3 or 2 for $5. The drawing will be held on December 6, 2015. For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact Brenda Simmons at the Foundation office: 540-932-1728.
This Tuesday, I went on an adventure with my daughters Mary and Becky and our friend Joe Jennelle. We made the two-mile up and two-mile down hike to see Cascade Falls in Giles County. It was breathtakingly beautiful!

My painting of The Cascades, Nature’s Beauty, was published as a fundraising print for Blue Ridge Public Television. It is available through Blue Ridge Public Television: 540-344-0991.
This Saturday, I’ll be in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, for my show with King James Galleries of Gettysburg. Gallery manager Debra Starry and I will release a special print featuring a field of sunflowers. A Field of Sunshine celebrates the splendor of local crops.
A Field of Sunshine will be released during my show with King James Galleries of Gettysburg on August 29. For more information, please contact the gallery at 717-398-2034 or 855-855-1863.
Love,
Pearl Yoder, who is a member of the Moss Country Friends Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society, has just completed her sixth quilt featuring one of my centerpieces!
