Dear Friends:

My children and I are still putting the finishing touches on my lake house on Claytor Lake near Radford, Virginia. I’ve started painting in my new studio, and I like it so very much.

My son John and his wife Maureen came and planted the beautiful lilies I showed you a couple weeks ago. I’m looking forward to enjoying them next spring.

Have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend, and good luck to all students starting and returning to school.
