Dear Friends:
This was a weekend of beautiful weather on the Chesapeake Bay and fresh
fish. Thankfully, Hurricane Earl missed us, and it was breezy, sunny,
and gorgeous. My daughter Patty and her friend Mary went fishing, so
we had fresh trout, crabs, and clams. They were all from the Bay and
all delicious!
I'm off to Galax, Virginia, this weekend to help commemorate the 75th
Anniversary of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'll kick-off my weekend by attending
the Commemorative Ceremony at Cumberland Knob Friday morning, and then
I'll be meeting collectors and signing my art in the Breezeway of the
Blue Ridge Music Center. Later Friday evening, I'll meet collectors
at The Framer's Daughter in Galax. Saturday and Sunday, I'll be back
at the Blue Ridge Music Center. I've created a special new print for
the occasion, titled Spring at Mabry Mill, and there will be
a selection of my work featuring Blue Ridge Parkway favorites available
for purchase, including The Good Road-Blue Ridge Parkway 75th Anniversary
print
and poster.
Spring at Mabry Mill will be released as a giclée on paper
during my appearance at the Blue Ridge Music Center in Galax, VA, September
10-12, held in conjunction with The Framer's Daughter of Galax. For
more information, please contact The Framer's Daughter at 276-236-4920.
I'm excited to announce that WVPT (Harrisonburg, Virginia's, public
television station) is distributing its 2008 documentary about me to
PBS stations across the country. Contact your local PBS station and
request them to broadcast it! The documentary is called P.
Buckley Moss: The Lady Behind the Brush.
I'm off to Galax for some good music, good food, and good friends!
Love,
Pat
