Dear Friends:

It was such a pleasure being with members of the Middlesex County Woman’s Club on Monday.  I was the guest speaker for their meeting.  They are a wonderful, interesting group of women.  Working alone in my studio, as I do, I love getting out and talking to people.

Giving my talk Monday at the Middlesex County (Va.) Woman’s Club in Urbanna.

The Woman’s Club gave me an honorarium for my talk, which I donated to the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education.  All the encouragement we can give to our children is a blessing.

The meeting was held in the historic Town of Urbanna, Virginia, which is near Mathews.  Middlesex and Mathews are neighboring counties.  Urbanna has the sweetest, most beautifully kept old buildings.  It’s a wonderful part of the country to visit, especially during Urbanna’s annual Oyster Festival.

It’s wonderful to be back in the old swing of things after moving from Florida to my new house on Claytor Lake, which is near Radford, Virginia.  I do love being in my studio.

It took three happy Hokies—Rob, Shannon, and Brendan Donnelly, along with Big Jim Rayfield—to move my favorite floor lamp into the lake house.

I’m looking forward to being with all my fabulous friends in Berlin, Ohio, this weekend when I’m there for my show with Berlin Creek Gallery.

Harvest at the Stone Cottage will be released during my show with Berlin Creek Gallery in Berlin, OH, September 13-14.  For more information, please contact the gallery at 330-893-2686.

Please join me in remembering those who lost their lives or loved ones on September 11, 2001, and all those since then who have defended us against terrorism.  I pray for healing and peace for this world.

Love,
Pat
