Dear Friends:
My signing event at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen was another fun evening spent with dear friends. Members of the Moss on the James Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society once again volunteered to help with the event, and they made the evening all the more enjoyable. The Cultural Arts Center is holding a month-long exhibit of my work in its Slantwall Gallery.

My daughter Becky and I had a fabulous show with King James Galleries of Winchester. It was our first visit to Romney, West Virginia’s, Hampshire Heritage Fest on Saturday. Everyone came out in spite of the rain and was really excited about my new print The Romney Trough. Likewise, everyone was excited over Front Royal’s Silent Night at the gallery on Sunday. It was such a joy to see so many smiling faces. Among them were our friends Ken and Carol Walters, who also came to see me during our Barn Show and my show with King James Galleries of Gettysburg last month.
I am heading off this week to the west coast for a Quilt Camp at Sea cruise to Alaska with my daughters Mary and Patty. We are all looking forward to our trip together. Shortly after I return, I’ll be the guest speaker for the Susan G. Komen Pink Promise Luncheon in Vinton, Virginia, on September 30, followed by a show that weekend with Berlin Creek Gallery in Berlin, Ohio.
Zoar Grist Mill will be released during my show with Berlin Creek Gallery, Berlin, OH, October 2-3. The mill, which is no longer standing, spanned the Ohio and Erie Canal near Zoar, Ohio, and was built in 1858 and operated by the Society of Separatists of Zoar until the dissolution of their communal economy in 1898.
There is a nip in the air mornings, announcing the imminent arrival of fall. I am also looking forward to Waynesboro’s Annual Fall Foliage Festival and our gallery show and Barn Open House October 9-11. Come and join us!
Autumn Reflections will be released during my gallery show and Barn Open House in Waynesboro, VA, the weekend of October 9-11. For more information, please contact our Waynesboro gallery at 540-949-6473.
