Dear Friends:
I had a delightful luncheon and signing event at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, which is near Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday. Many friends from the Richmond area supported the event, including members of the Moss on the James Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society. This is a lovely arts center and worth a visit.
I’m excited to share a picture of my Night Blooming Cyrus with you! It only blooms for a few hours and has a wonderful aroma. My plant had six blooms on it, and I missed all but this one. We kept running out to try to catch it blooming, and I finally got this picture around 1:30 a.m.
My beautiful Night Blooming Cyrus; picture taken at 1:30 a.m.
I’m looking forward to this coming weekend and my show with my friends at Berlin Creek Gallery in Berlin, Ohio. It’s going to be a really fun, on-the-go weekend, starting with a dinner and tour at the Dennison Train Depot on Thursday evening. Gallery owner Nancy Tarzan and I will be releasing a new print which features the train depot during its World War II heyday.
Dreamsville, U.S.A. features the Dennison Depot in Ohio and will be released during my show with Berlin Creek Gallery in Berlin, OH, September 21-22. For more information, please contact the gallery at 330-893-2686.
I’ll be staying at the Miller Haus B&B in Millersburg, Ohio, again—one of my favorites!—and the owner has informed me that all the rooms are booked for the weekend with “Mossaholics,” so I’ll be among friends the whole weekend.
Love,
Pat
A Message from Our 2013 Society Cruise Coordinator
Dear Moss Society Members and Friends:
I was asked to serve as the liaison between Society members/friends and Stacy’s Travel for the 2013 Society Cruise. I am pleased to be able to do this on behalf of all cruise participants and have begun to work with our travel agent Ada on specific elements of our trip. We hope to make this cruise another memorable one, with additional tour options both prior to the cruise in Rome and post cruise in Venice. Several of you have already contacted me with suggestions for tours in both locations.
I am committed to giving you a monthly update in the newsletter on various aspects of the trip. This initial article serves as an introduction and a request for comments and ideas from those of you who have signed up for the cruise as well as “cruise hopefuls.” The 2013 trip promises to be an exciting one, with family, friends, and lots of “extras” throughout the days at sea and on land. Please send your suggestions or questions to me at blbinnig@yahoo.com or call me at 727-786-1960. More information will follow in October.
Moss hugs,
Bonnie-Lou Binnig
