Dear Friends:
I found another one of my dream homes this past weekend in Dublin, Virginia!
Rockwood Manor, currently a bed and breakfast, is one of the most wonderfully
interesting homes I have ever been in. It was built in 1876 by the great-great-grandparents
of the current owners Sarah Drummond and her son Frank. It has been
lovingly restored and is on the National Register of Historic Places,
a real “must see!”
On the front steps of Rockwood Manor in Dublin, Virginia: Andrea
Neighbors, Frank Drummond, Pat, and Sarah Drummond. Frank and Sarah
are the owners of Rockwood Manor and Andrea is the President of P. Buckley
Moss Society Chapter Moss in the New River Valley.
The Moss in the New River Valley Chapter of the P.
Buckley Moss Society arranged a luncheon and a tour for me at Rockwood.
Everything was wonderful; the food, the company, the atmosphere, the
scenery—everything! I would love to go back one day and spend
the night!

I was in Dublin for a show with Jeanette and Eddy Stephens,
owners of Collector’s Showcase and Framing. Jeanette and Eddy
are old friends and excellent representatives of my work. It was so
much fun to have a show with them again and to see so many of my friends
there

On my way to Dublin, I stopped by Creative Kiln in Lexington
to participate in a local fundraiser. Every November Lexington hosts
the annual Deck the Halls event as a fundraiser for Project Horizon,
a local, non-profit domestic violence shelter and awareness program.
During Deck the Halls, trees, wreaths, and other items are auctioned
to attendees. The proceeds help Project Horizon with their much-needed
programs. This year, Creative Kiln is going to donate a fully decorated
tree to auction. All the ornaments on the tree will be hand-painted
ceramic ornaments, fired in their kiln; and, one of them will be the
one that I painted during my visit.

I missed out on participating in the Society’s annual members-only
trip this year. The group was in our country’s Southwest, while
I was attending the shows with the Heritage Art Galleries in Cedar Falls
and Waterloo, Iowa. They had a great time…Society members always
do anytime they get together!
P. Buckley Moss Society members enjoyed their annual trip this year
in the Southwest. Here they are in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I am very excited! It’s finally time for my Collectors’
Convention in historic Williamsburg this weekend! Next week I’ll
have lots of pictures to share with you, but I know many of you will
be experiencing it first-hand. See you there!
Love,
Pat
