I’m very excited about my upcoming Museum Show and Barn Open House, which will be held October 11-13. It’s a beautiful time to visit the Valley and the Museum. The show coincides with Waynesboro’s Annual Fall Foliage Festival, and we come from near and far to see the Valley in its fall glory, catch up with friends and family, and see what the festival’s street vendors have to offer. I’ve shown at this festival ever since it has been held. I’ve created a very special print edition for this show, which I’ve titled Appalachian Autumn.

The setup of the Fall Foliage Festival will be different this year due to roadwork, so the Museum’s booth will be at the other end of town in the old Leggett’s parking lot at the corner of Arch Avenue and Main Street. Come and say “hello” to the girls manning my booth. Of course, the Museum will be open its regular hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and I’ll be signing at The Barn from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each of the three days. All are welcome to visit!

This Saturday, October 5, I’ll be in Columbiana, Ohio, showing with my friends at Vivian’s Antiques and Collectibles. I haven’t been there in a few years, and I’m looking forward to being with old friends again. My dear friend Sally Case has been representing my work at Vivian’s for over thirty years and makes the long drive to Virginia from time to time to see me and bring prints for me to sign. My brother Dan and his wife Carolyn live in nearby Pittsburgh, and I’m looking forward to visiting them, too. For more information on the show, please call the gallery at 330-482-3144.

The P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education is conducting a fundraising raffle for a quilted wall hanging that features one of my “Fledgling” designs in the centerpiece. Tickets will be sold through December 8 (winner to be drawn Sunday, December 8, by me during the December Museum Show and Barn Open House), and the cost is one ticket for $3.00 or two tickets for $5.00. The quilt is currently on display at the P. Buckley Moss Museum in Waynesboro, Virginia, and it will also be displayed during my shows with Martin’s Gallery in Hanover, Pennsylvania, on October 25 and King James Galleries of Gettysburg (PA) on October 26. I’ve done a whole room at my new house on Claytor Lake with quilts that I’ve purchased at different shows and events.
