Dear Friends:
It was such a joy to have so many friends with us for Thanksgiving. Christmas will be all family with perhaps a few friends. Aren’t we grateful for all that we have in this world and for the sacrifices that our young servicemen and women make for us away from their families and friends for holidays so that we can be together in peace!
A very happy Thanksgiving!
We’re putting up Christmas decorations now, as are all our friends. I see them all on Facebook, and it’s such fun.
The big Christmas tree at The Barn is ready, decorated with ornaments made by the students of Stuarts Draft Elementary School. We’re having a tree lighting ceremony at The Barn for the students and their parents and teachers on Saturday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m., and we’re looking forward to the children seeing their wonderful pieces of artwork on the tree.
We have some special pieces for Christmas this year, and they will all be available—framed and unframed—at our beautiful new gallery at 329 West Main Street in downtown Waynesboro, Virginia. The gallery is fully stocked, decorated, and ready for this weekend’s gallery show and Barn Open House. I will be signing at The Barn from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, through Saturday, December 6, and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7.
Lone Spirit will be released during my Waynesboro gallery show and Barn Open House December 5-7. This is a painting from the past that gallery co-manager Corrado Gabellieri wanted to print for our Christmas show. He’s framed it beautifully, and I’m so pleased. For more information, please contact the P. Buckley Moss Gallery-Waynesboro at 540-949-6473.
The Waynesboro gallery will also feature Frosty Family Cabin the weekend of December 5-7. For more information, please contact the gallery at 540-949-6473.
Christmas at the Kringle’s, above, is this year’s annual Christmas print. It will be available from the Waynesboro gallery the weekend of the Barn Open House, along with Sledding Santa and Tidings of Joy, below, and a selection of other new seasonal prints and ornaments. For more information, please contact the gallery at 540-949-6473.
On Sunday, I’ll pull the winning raffle ticket for a beautiful quilt, the proceeds of which will benefit the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education. The Cherub’s Perch quilt was made by Cheryl Foster of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and features one of my hand-painted centerpieces. Tickets are still available from the Foundation office, 540-932-1728.
The Foundation is raffling this beautiful Cherub’s Perch quilt. The quilt features one of my hand-painted centerpieces and measures 50½ x 50½ inches. The centerpiece measures 21 x 21 inches. Tickets are one for $3 or two for $5, and the winning ticket will be drawn on December 7. For more information or tickets, please contact the Foundation office at 540-932-1728.
Please come and share the spirit of Christmas with us!
Love,
Pat
P.S. I’m requesting special prayers for a special person—cancer.
