We had a lovely, quiet Thanksgiving at my lake house in Radford, Virginia. We are all very grateful for our health and the warmth of family and friends.

I’m so much looking forward to Christmas at The Barn this weekend, and I hope everyone will come to see our Christmas tree that has been decorated with ornaments made by the students of Guy K. Stump Elementary School in Stuarts Draft. We will have a tree lighting ceremony Saturday morning at The Barn for the students and their families and teachers. It is such a joy for children to make the ornaments for the tree.

Lebanon Holiday Horse Parade features the annual Christmas parade in Lebanon, Ohio.

The Tree Lighting! features Christmas at Lincoln Square, with the historic Wills House in the background.

Christmas at Church Circle features the tree lighting at Kingsport, Tennessee’s, famous Church Circle.

The Laurel Brigade features The Laurel Brigade Inn in Leesburg, Va.

Mountain Lake features Mountain Lake Lodge in Pembroke, Va., where the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed.

It’s not too late to get raffle tickets for the beautiful “Fledgling” quilt that is being raffled by the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education. The quilt features one of my hand-painted fledgling birds in the center. The winning ticket will be drawn by me on December 8 during the Museum Show and Barn Open House, and the cost is one ticket for $3.00 or two tickets for $5.00. This lovely Fledgling quilted wall hanging measures 34 x 32 ¾ ins. and is being raffled by the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education. Tickets are one for $3.00 or two for $5.00.
