Dear Friends:
I’ve been working on sunflowers this week, and a couple of my works-in-progress are pictured below.
It’s been a week of flowers, because my namesake daylily that I transplanted from the Museum grounds to my home in Radford, Virginia, is blooming beautifully.
Stuart & Diane Kendig of Perfect Perennials in York, PA, are the developers of the P. Buckley Moss Daylily. This particular plant was a gift from collector/friend Chip Gerhart about ten years ago when it was first developed.
I’ve also been having the front entrance to my deck remodeled this week. It is going to be beautiful and much safer.
Contractor Bill Landes (seated) and his son have been remodeling the front entrance to my deck this week.
There’s still time to get your tickets to the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children’s Education’s fundraising dinner that will be held on Saturday, July 11, in conjunction with my Waynesboro gallery show and Barn Open House July 10-12. The deadline to purchase tickets is next Wednesday, June 30. Tickets are $40 each and are available from the Foundation office at 540-932-1728 or foundation@mossfoundation.org, the P. Buckley Moss Gallery-Waynesboro at 540-949-6473, or the P. Buckley Moss Gallery-Blacksburg at 540-552-6446. For more information, please see last week’s newsletter.
Love,
